Name: Franz "Jagdhund" Kleis
Gender: Male
Age: 37
Nationality: German
Affiliation: Germany
Position: Tank Commander
Rank: Oberleutnant, Senior Lieutenant
Squad/Division (Optional): Panzer Abteilung 51 (Tank Battalion 51)
Loadout (Military characters only)
Primary Weapon: Panther Ausf. G
Secondary Weapon: Walther PPK
Images (Optional):
Character Description: Kleis mostly matches Germany's description of an Aryan. He has short, blond buzz-cut hair, although mostly hidden under his field cap, and light blue eyes. His face is rough, giving him a constant mean look that never seems to go away. He is physically fit, although not the strongest, and rather thin. Along with this, he has a medium monotonous voice when not in battle, but in combat when the adrenaline is rushing, his voice is loud and angry. He is not immune from the climate, though, being in the comfort of his Panther made him lose some of his immunity to the cold and wet.
Character Personality: Kleis is built to be a commander. His harsh early life has made him into an unforgiving, yet effective leader to his crewmen. His crewmen perform especially well because of their fear of him. Kleis is quick to blame others when something goes wrong, not wanting to accept responsibility for some mistakes. He is educated, knowing what to do with his vehicle at all times, and understanding tactics. He lacks awareness when it comes to some situations, concentration too hard on taking something out rather than watching out for other dangers. He is disciplined when he is talking to his higher ranking officers, being mindful and giving the most respect. Not only is he trained to lead his tank, but he can be deadly with his pistol. Lastly, he has mostly trained himself to gain control of his fear and panic, he may be taken over by panic and order his crew to bail from his vehicle if its armor is penetrated, but sooner or later he will get things back under his control.
Character Backround: Born in the December of 1907 in Cologne, Germany, Kleis has lived a rather unsteady early life. During his early life, his father died in the trenches during World War I when Kleis was seven years of age. His mother began strictly disciplining him after his fathers death, using harsh punishments such as physical punishment. When the depression came around after Germany's loss, he suffered even more. During 1926-1929 he struggled to find a real stable job and had difficulty being accepted to a college. Things got worse as his mother became dependent on him as she lost work. The next few years were rough until the mid 1930s. During 1932 his mother died of typhus. When things started getting intense during 1939, he began working harder to get proper education torwards being a radio operator for either an artillery or tank division, with a lot of education done prior to 1939. Once he passed in 1940, he became a radio operator in a Panzer 4 Ausf. H and operated along the eastern front. He soon proved his capabilities and was moved to the commander position of a Panther Ausf. G in 1942 where he has remained.
